Q: How do contracts and deposits work with your company?

A: Once the event is booked, we meet to sign a very simple legal contract. This meeting is at your convenience. The deposit is 25% of the total cost for my DJ services. The deposit deadline will be arranged with you prior to the contract signing.


Q: How much do you charge?

A: It completely depends on your event. First, answer the questions in the "Tell me about your event" survey and send them to me. I need to know a little bit about your event before I can get you a fair and accurate price.


Q: What kind of music do you play?

A: I play whatever kind of music you like. Sounds like a no brainer right? But it's amazing how many DJs do not share this belief. I have DJed every type of event under the sun. I have DJed for people of all different backgrounds and ages. Whatever you need, we have it. And if you have no clue, we can help with that too.


Q: How far will you travel to be my DJ?

A: I am based in Newark, Delaware. However I have driven out to Ohio and down to Florida to DJ events. Distance is not an issue.


Q: What happens if you are sick or have an emergency the day of my event?

A: I have two other DJs who I have partnered with. Both are completely professional and extremely talented.

 

Q: What kind of equipment do you have?

A: An important question to ask all DJs for those of you still shopping around! You want to make sure the person you hire does not arrive with an iPOD and a mini boom box. I have a lot of fun toys. But the main components of my DJ rig are my two Yamaha P.A. speakers that stand 4 feet tall. My 500 watt Yamaha mixer. And a MacBook Pro.


Q: Do you take requests?

A: Yes, but only if you want me to. If you give your consent I will take situationally appropriate requests.


Q: How does overtime work?

A: If all your guests are having a great time, and the staff of the hall or venue is fine with staying late - it's $75 for each additional hour requested.

 

Q: How long have you been DJing?

A: I have been a DJ since 2005.

 

Q: How did you get started?

A: I have been a lover of all different types of music my entire life. I have been collecting everything I can get my hands on since I was a teenager. However I bought all this sound equipment in 2004 when I was playing guitar in a bar band. The band folded, and DJ Baby Bubba was born. In 2011, I re-branded the company to Big Bang Events and DJ Service.
